Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of dentalagora.com and everything on it (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms; the effective date above tells you when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated version.

Everything on DentalAgora is general education and industry information. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, or clinical advice, and it is not an appraisal, an opinion of value, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or price any specific practice, asset, or security.

Using the Site — including the calculators, the guides, the directories, and the AI assistant — creates no professional relationship of any kind between you and DentalAgora. No attorney-client relationship, no accountant-client relationship, no fiduciary or agency relationship, and no broker-client relationship arises from reading this Site or submitting a form on it.

Benchmarks, ranges, and rules of thumb published here are industry generalities. Your practice, your market, your payer mix, and your tax situation are specific to you. Before you act on anything you read here, engage licensed professionals — a dental CPA, a dental attorney, a lender, an appraiser — who can look at your actual numbers. The Team and Resources pages exist precisely so you can find them.

Parts of the Site are powered by artificial intelligence, including the practice analyzer and "Morgan," the assistant that participates in the community rooms. AI output is generated automatically, can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and is not reviewed by a human before you see it. It is not advice and must not be relied on as the basis for a transaction, a filing, a contract, or any clinical decision. Verify anything that matters.

Do not submit confidential, privileged, or patient-identifying information to the AI features. Do not use the AI features to generate anything unlawful, deceptive, or harassing.

The professional directories, the dentist directory, the job index, the podcast directory, and the library are compiled from publicly available sources. Inclusion is not an endorsement, certification, affiliation, or recommendation, and exclusion means nothing either. We charge nothing and accept nothing for placement, and we do not rank entries as "best."

Information taken from public sources can be stale or wrong. Verify credentials, licensure, terms, and availability directly with the firm or provider before you rely on any of it. Third-party sites we link to are outside our control and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

If you are listed and want a correction or removal, email hello@dentalagora.com. Removal requests are honored within 48 hours.

The community rooms, the classifieds board, and the job-seeker profiles let you publish content. You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant DentalAgora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content on the Site for the purpose of operating it — nothing more. You can ask us to take your content down at any time.

You are responsible for what you post, and you promise you have the right to post it. Full posting rules — including the anti-discrimination requirement for any employment or opportunity post, the HIPAA rule, and the vendor-disclosure rule — live in the Content & Posting Policy, which is part of these terms.

We may remove content, refuse a listing, or block a user at our discretion, with or without notice, when we believe a rule has been broken. We are not obligated to monitor user content and we do not endorse it.

• ›Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene, or fraudulent.
• ›Do not post patient-identifying information, protected health information, or anything you learned in a clinical setting that could identify a person.
• ›Do not misrepresent who you are, and do not pose as a colleague while actually selling. Vendors, consultants, coaches, and recruiters are welcome — identify yourselves as such when you post.
• ›Do not spam: no bulk pitches, no repeated posting of the same offer, no scraped-list recruiting.
• ›Do not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or resell Site content or directory data, and do not use it to build a competing dataset.
• ›Do not attempt to breach, overload, probe, or circumvent the Site's security or rate limits, and do not use automated tools to submit forms.
• ›Do not upload malware, and do not attempt to gain access to accounts, systems, or data that are not yours.

The Site's original writing, design, tools, and compilations are owned by DentalAgora and protected by copyright. You may read, print, and share links for your own professional use. Republishing substantial portions, or using the material to train a commercial model or build a competing product, requires written permission.

We respect copyright and respond to valid notices. If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@dentalagora.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice" that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the work you say is infringed; (3) identification of the material on the Site and enough detail for us to locate it, such as the exact URL; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf. We will remove or disable properly identified material and notify whoever posted it, who may submit a counter-notice.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, DentalAgora disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty that content is accurate, complete, current, or uninterrupted. Market data, benchmarks, listings, and directory entries change constantly and may be wrong or out of date at any moment.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DentalAgora and anyone working with it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Site — even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), which reflects the fact that the Site is provided to you free of charge.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold DentalAgora harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of content you post, your use of the Site, or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you and DentalAgora each consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Before filing anything, please email us — nearly every problem we have ever had was solved by someone writing to hello@dentalagora.com.

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Content & Posting Policy, are the entire agreement between you and DentalAgora regarding the Site.
